About the Script Formatter

Writing a script often involves typing ideas quickly without worrying about layout. This tool uses smart heuristics to turn a wall of text into a readable script format.

• Format Dialogue: Detects speaker names (e.g. "John:") and automatically spaces them out and capitalizes the names to make the script readable for actors.
• Format for YouTube: Isolates stage directions or visual cues inside brackets (e.g. [Show chart]) by placing them on their own lines, making it easy to separate B-roll notes from spoken audio.
• Format Voiceover: Separates long paragraphs into smaller, double-spaced chunks to make reading at a microphone much easier.
